Coffee dregs readings

To do a coffee dregs reading :

Use only white ceramic cups. In Eastern Europe, the coffee cups are much smaller than the ones used to drink coffee in the US, also because "Turkish style" coffee is prepared, and it is much stronger than the filter one.

Grind coffee, very fine - has to be finer than for preparing filter, about the same size as fine cornmeal.

Add ground coffee to cold water (about 1 full teaspoon for a measured cup of water. Bring to a boil, while being ready to remove it from the stove very fast (it has the habit of spilling, like milk). Stir, then put back on the stove, wait for it to raise and foam, remove quickly again when it's ready to spill. Stir. Repeat (needs to raise three times).

With the teaspoon collect first the foam on top and put it in the cup, let the liquid in the pot sit a minute, then carefully pour the coffee in the cup. Add sugar - optional. Let cool a little, then the person who wants the reading needs to drink the coffee slowly, while focusing on their problems. The coffee needs to be drank until there is just a little bit of liquid left over the dregs.

With a swirling motion of the hand, the dregs with little liquid are mixed in the cup, then the cup is turned on all sides so the mix covers the whole inside. Then with a quick motion, the cup is turned upside down on a little plate or a paper towel. You have to wait from 10 to 30 minutes (depending on the temperature in the room) for the dregs to dry a little.

The cup is lifted and the symbols and figures formed by the dregs are read.
